Privacy policy

This notice describes the privacy policy for the mobile application “Bride of Knowledge VR” (Application) distributed and developed by LMU/TU Chemnitz and LRZ (Originator), represented by Christina Sanchez-Stockhammer (TU Chemnitz; formerly LMU), Elisabeth Mayer (LRZ) and Jenny Arendholz (LMU).

We may revise this privacy policy at any time, and the date of last revision will be available at the bottom of this page. By using the Application, you understand and accept this Privacy Policy. Your continued use of the Application after changes have been posted to the Privacy Policy will constitute your acceptance of such changes.

What information we collect: “Bridge of Knowledge VR” does not collect any personal information.
The Application might collect low-level technical information about the device used to play the Application, such as operating system, device type and versions of the Application. The Originator may also track, archive and use information regarding your use of the Application as provided herein, including information about level of usage and particular features used. This data is used to improve further development of the Application.

Information sharing with unaffiliated third parties: The Originator may disclose gathered anonymous technical information to another entity for the following reasons: (i) for purposes of outsourcing one or more of the functions described in the previous section; (ii) to confirm or update information provided by you; (iii) to inform you of important information. We may also share your information in response to a subpoena, legal order or official request, or when we believe that doing so may protect your safety or the safety of others.

How we collect information: In addition to the methods described above, we may also collect information using cookies, locally stored Flash objects (sometimes referred to as “Flash cookies”), and analytic software embedded in the Application.

How we protect information: The Originator attempts to protect against the loss, misuse and alteration of the information collected. Our servers are protected by reasonable physical and electronic security measures. Despite our best efforts, however, no security measures are completely impenetrable.

Children: The Originator does not seek to collect any personally identifiable information directly from children under the age of 13. If you are under 13, please do not submit any personally identifiable information to Originator. We additionally note that (i) any personally identifiable information or data that is inadvertently collected from a child will be deleted at the request of the parent or guardian, and (ii) should personally identifiable information or data be collected from a child, such information or data will only be used for educational purposes.
